A charming early 19th-century pastel study of a gentleman in a formal wig. Part of a pair of portraits depicting a man and woman in profile, the companion piece is also listed on our website (sr716). Unsigned. Presented in an oval gilt frame. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration. Light wear to the gilt frame.
