A very fine 19th century English School marine watercolour, depicting an impressive war ship anchored in a bay, with sailors in surrounding rowing boats. The detail has been captured in a very fine hand and obviously painted by an accomplished artist. There is an old inscription with mounting instructions to the reverse. Unsigned. On wove.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Overall the appearance is very good.
