A very finely painted rural scene with a cottage and stream, excellently presented in a Frost and Reed Bristol gilt frame with scallop detail. Unsigned. On board.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt and some areas of fine craquelure. The paint layer is sound and stable. Inspection under UV light shows no signs of restoration.
