English School Original 19th Century Oil. In a recently painted bright gilt frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers. Craquelure and mild discolouration typical for a picture of this age. There are two closed tears to the canvas; one on the left edge of the girl's head, the other in the lower left quadrant above her feet. Inspection under UV light reveals touching up in these areas.
