This 18th century portrait depicts a young child in formal attire standing in a pastoral landscape, holding a hoop toy. Condition

There is some discolouration to the varnish of the painting. There is craquelure to some areas of the composition. There is a vertical abrasion to the surface on the left-hand side measuring 9cm. Inspection under UV light reveals minor areas of restoration to the surface. The frame overall is in good condition with only minor losses and stable cracking.
