Sculptor born in Sutton, Yorkshire one of many children who had at least seven siblings most whom became artists and sculptors. They included Sydney and Vernon,(sculptors) and Edward (b. 1973), Percival (b. 1877), Frederick (1880-1962), Dudley (1883-1962) and Walter (1888-1954) who were artists. Elsie probably gained experience from helping her brothers on their large memorial works on which the entire family worked as a team. She exhibited at the RGI, RA, RMS, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, SWA and at the RBA who elected her a member in 1932. Elsie's work in watercolour maintained her in later life, when she was unable to model her very life-like terracotta figures. The entire family lived and worked for most of their careers at the family home near Farnborough in Kent. Elsie died in 1974 the last surviving member of that generation and the remaining works of art of the entire March siblings where auctioned in a studio sale at Christie's South Kensington in 1982. Her work is represented in the IWM and the BM.
