From a collection we acquired of the work of Elizabeth Painter. Based in Minehead in Somerset, she mainly worked in pastel, depicting scenes around the Somerset countryside, and also many floral still lifes. Signed variously Elizabeth Painter, Elizabeth Paul (likely her maiden name), M.E. Painter (or M. Painter). All the works appear to be in the same hand. Mostly undated, but a few are dated between 1975 and 1989.
