A delightful early 20th century coloured etching by Elizabeth Armsden, depicting a farm landscape scene. On thick paper, laid to backing card. Side and upper plate lines have been cropped. Title is partially illegible to the lower left-hand corner, below lower plate line. Signed and dated below plate line to the lower right-hand corner.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Some surface marks and creasing to the backing card.

Artist Biography

Elizabeth Armsden was a little known artist, living in Dorset for most of her career in the early 20th Century. She worked at Studland in Dorset and shared a studio with A.H. Berens. Her work was published by 'The Artist' and she was known to have exhibited in both London and Paris.
