Collection Information
Elfrida Tharle-Hughes (1874-1950) was born in Ryde, Isle of Wight, England on the 25th April 1874. She studied at the Slade School of Fine Art and at ateliers in Paris. She exhibited at Beaux Arts, Grosvenor Gallery, the International Society, the London Salon, New English Art Club, and Redfern Gallery in London; Manchester City Art Gallery; and at Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Her work is illustrated in Colour magazine in 1915 and 1922. Examples of her work are included in the permanent collections of the Imperial War Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.| SKU | mn063 |
