An unusual and eye-catching portrait of a figure named 'Tom', in the post-impressionist style, by the artist Elaine Coakley. There is an area of paint loss to the lower left quadrat, and scuffing to the edges and corners, as shown. Overall, in good condition.

Artist Biography
Elaine Coakley graduated from Dunlaoighre College of Art & Design in 1994 with a Diploma in Fine Art-Painting, and from NCAD in 1998 with a Degree in Fine Art-Painting. Elaine has been working in the Arts sector for the past 15 years. She is currently Studio Director of Backwater Artists Studios, Cork. Prior to this she managed Form Gallery, Cork.
She has worked on and managed several art projects, exhibitions and exchanges. She was Director of Art Trail, at Cork’s Contemporary Art Festival from 2008–2010. From 2014–2015 she was awarded a 20 month residency at The Lord Mayor’s Pavilion in Fitzgerald’s Park where she ran her own Arts & Crafts classes & workshops. She also hosted several exhibitions and events from the venue.
