A watercolour and pen and ink painting of an imagined historical scene on the green at Richmond Palace. The palace was built in the sixteenth century and demolished in the seventeenth century and was a favourite home of Queen Elizabeth I, who died there in 1603. In the foreground, two men on horses participate in a hunt. Presented glazed in a green washline mount and a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Inscribed with the location to the lower-left edge and signed to the lower-right edge. On wove.Condition
There is some mild foxing to the sky but overall in very good condition.
