A very fine street scene in watercolour with body colours depicting Rue St Maclou in Rouen. Monogrammed and dated by the listed British artist Edwin Thomas Dolby (1845-1895). This busy street scene with Ruen Cathedral beyond is highly typical of the artist. The location is inscribed in the lower left. It is mounted and presented in a simple gilt frame. Monogrammed and Dated. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There two tears to the mid lower edge of the page that have been closed.
