A fine and charming watercolour painting with gouache details by the artist Edwin St. John, depicting a view near Naples with boats and figures. Partially fainted signature inscribed to the lower right-hand corner. There is a label on the reverse inscribed with the title and the artist's name. Well-presented in a double, washline card mount and in an ornate, gilt-effect frame. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing. Some losses to the frame, as well as small scuffs and marks.
