Draughtsman, watercolourist. Son of French parents. Read classics and modern languages at King's College, Cambridge, becoming a lecturer in French and modern languages at the university. During WWI he served with the British Expeditionary Force in France and was a special constable in WWII. He exhibited extensively: at Walker's Galleries, Fine Art Society, New English Art Club, Chenil and Cooling Galleries. He was Honorary Keeper of Pictures at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge until 1955. He lived in Cambridge.
