This early 19th Century engraving from the original 1751 plate is titled 'A View of the Center Crofs Walk in Vauxhall Gardens' in both English and French to the bottom edge. Numbered 6 to the upper right. Hand coloured.
This summer scene depicts life of the upper class in 18th Century England as they take leisurely strolls around the gardens.
On watermarked laid .Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Visible plate lines. Very light foxing.
