The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is light foxing. there is some wear and scuffing to the gilt frame.

Artist Biography
Edward was a watercolour painter landscapes and coastal scenes who was by profession an architect in partnership in Bradford. He was a keen supporter of the YUA, exhibiting from the outset until 1912 and served on the Council from 1895 until his death in 1916. He does not appear to have shown his work anywhere else but in Bradford.
His daughter Mary Healey (1885-1923) was born in Bradford and was an oil and watercolour landscape and portrait painter. Her main art training was at the Slade School of Art in London, and, after working as a portrait artist in Britain, she emigrated in 1919 with a brother to Canada, to live in London, Ontario.
