Edith M. Barratt - A good little monochrome watercolour inscribed "A Recollection of Clitheroe Castle"From a small album of watercolours and drawings. Pictures in this album are variously dated from 1880 - 1887. Because these pictures have always been in an album, they have not been exposed to light, smoke, dust, or other noxious influences. They retain their freshness and look far newer than their age. In general the condition is excellent. Almost all are inscribed but I have great difficulty reading her handwriting. Each painting is on high quality paper. This album came with a larger album which was signed by Edith Barratt and is also by her hand.
