The artist has used an masterful hand to demonstrate an excellent use of light and tone, capturing the delicate details of the flowers and vase. Signed to the lower left. Artist Biography

Edith Alice Andrews specialised in floral paintings of still life subjects and gardens. She also illustrated several children's books, most notably 'My Pretty Children's Book' in 1901. In her life time she exhibited with many galleries and groups including, Dore Gallery London, Society of Women Artists, Liverpool Walker Art Gallery, Paris Salon and at the Royal Academy (1914-1954).
