Starting from his early years he demonstrates a great draughtsman talent and has developed his style after best impressionism traditions. Edgar Winter works in oil, watercolor and monotype techniques and mainly paints still lives with flowers and country landscapes in various seasons. Edgar says about himself: “I am realist painter who loves to work in plein air and who always strives to the light and clarity in his paintings. The main goal of my life and work is to strive for the light”. Since 1949 Edgar Winter regularly takes part in exhibitions across the Europe. At his last solo exhibition in London, one of his paintings was included in Lady Diana, Princess of Wales private collection. Edgars Vinters was born on September 22, 1919, in Riga and developed his painting style at the Latvian Academy of Arts (1940-1944). Participating in exhibitions since 1949.
