An atmospheric 20th Century watercolour. With an exhibition label on the reverse, detailing the pictures inclusion in the John Finnie Memorial Exhibition at the Walker Gallery in Liverpool. The exhibition took place in 1907 and we can assume the picture is of a similar date. Inscribed 'Pont-y-Pair, original of the mezzotint' on the reverse. Well presented in a gold effect mount and gilt frame. Unsigned. On wove.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and light foxing to the sky. There are surface scratches to the frame.
