A pretty early 20th Century watercolour with gum arabic showing a coastal path down to the sea, enclosed with beautiful white May blossom in Maidencombe Woods, Torquay. The painting has been presented in a gilt frame with gold mount and glazing. There is a label at the reverse, indicating that this painting was clean and re framed in 1988. On wove.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is some craquelure to areas where gum arabic is thickets. The frame has some tarnishing and losses the the beaded strapwork at the inner window.
