A fine watercolour painting of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Boulogne, a minor basilica located in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the Pas-de-Calais department of northern France. The basilica was built between 1827 and 1875 on the site of the medieval cathedral of Boulogne. Presented glazed in a wash line mount and a gilt-effect frame with ornate foliate detailing at the inner and outer edges. Unsigned. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The painting is in excellent condition for its age with only a few slight spots of foxing. There are some minor marks to the mount and frame.
