Description

A view of the Abbey of Saint-Etienne, also known as Abbaye aux Hommes, in Caen, Normandy, France. It was founded in 1063 by William the Conqueror and is one of the most important Romanesque buildings in Normandy. Presented in a distressed gilt-effect slip. Unsigned. On watercolour paper.

Condition

There is some mild foxing and discolouration and some scuffs to the slip.
