Description
A charmingly naive view of the High Level Bridge in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. A train can be seen crossing over the bridge, with figures fishing from a barge at the lower right. The artist has inscribed "Bridge" to the lower right and signed indistinctly to the lower left. There is an indistinct inscription to the reverse at the upper left. On canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and surface dirtying. There is some craquelure to the surface. There are three canvas repairs to the reverse which have been restored at the front.
