A solitary figure walks across a field in this charming early twentieth-century Impressionist work. The artist employs an earthy palette of green, brown, and ochre tones with an expressive style and subtle impasto. The work is indistinctly signed to the lower left and is well presented in an ornate gilt frame. On panel.

Condition

Signs of wear consistent with age including discolouration and yellowing to the varnish layer. Scuffs and stable cracking to the frame. A small section of the lower left corner of the frame has been remoulded. Overall the artwork is in good condition for its age.
