A wonderful portrait of a young girl in renaissance clothing holding a lute. The composition and feel of the painting have clearly been inspired by the old master paintings of the 15th and 16th centuries. Well presented in an ornate gilt effect frame. Unsigned. On canvas laid to board.

Overall the condition is very good. The painting appears to have undergone some restoration such as surface cleaning and varnishing. Some very minor scuffs to the frame.
