A charming early twentieth-century street scene, rendered in a loose, Impressionistic style with areas of subtle impasto. Buildings tower over the street, whilst bare winter trees line the pavement and the indistinct forms of pedestrians populate the scene. Well presented in a rustic green frame. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.

Signs of wear consistent with age, including discolouration and craquelure. Inspection under UV light reveals no apparent restoration. Light wear to the frame. Overall, the artwork is in good condition for its age.
