Original Early 19th Century Woodblock. 3 sets of The Leeds Mercury Newspaper, dated 14 December 1822, 12 April 1823 and 22 March 1823. Unsigned. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and wear to edges.

The Leeds Mercury was a newspaper published in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was published from 1718 to 1755 and again from 1767. The issues of the Leeds Mercury from 3 January 1807 to 1900 have been digitised as part of the British Library's 19th-century newspapers digitisation project, through which they are accessible free of charge to members of UK Higher Education and Further Education institutions and from the British Library's buildings, and for a fee to other subscribers.
