Description
A very fine miniature watercolour portrait on wove. The sitter is a handsome young man with coiffed hair and fine dress, typical of the late Georgian era. . The artist has used the traditional technique for miniature portraits in this era, yet their own, more graphic style shines through. The painting is unsigned. The portrait has been presented in a fine, waxed oak frame with a concave inner window with brass oval framing the original domed glass. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame has some surface scratching and there is minor tarnishing to the brass inner window.
