Early 19th Century Watercolour - Bridge By The City Walls
Description
A very fine example of an early 19thC watercolour showing an arched bridge over a river that joins to a gatehouse in a city's walls. The bridge is busy with people coming and going; one man straddles the bridge wall, letting his leg dangle over the edge.
The painting is presented in a gilt frame with glazing and a gold wash-line mount.
On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including heavy discolouration. and some fading. The frame is in fine condition.
