Description
Original Early 19th Century Embroidery. A fine needlework showing a scene from Shakespeare's 'The Life of King Henry the Fifth', embroidered with the quote "Take me by the hand and say Harry of England - I am thine". Beautifully presented in a stunning period gilt frame with scrolling leaf design and acanthus leaf corner detail. There is some wear to the fabric, with some vertical thin tears. Some light discolouration in areas. The frame has a small loss to the lower right corner and some areas of wear, but these have been re-painted and generally the appearance is very nice.Size
