An impressive oil painting showing a row of coastal cottages and traditional public house. Possibly after the prolific British artist Samuel Prout (1783-1852), the painter shows considerable skill through his masterly use of tone and navigation of compositional depth. Condition
Inspection under UV light reveal some areas of retouching to the paint. With some surface scuffs to the edges of the frame. Overall the appearance is very good.
