Description

A delightful early 20th century oil portrait of a lady in delicate 1920's attire holding a bunch of roses. The artist has expertly rendered the subject in great tonal detail, with the soft pink of her dress and headband complimenting her fair skin. Signed and dated '19...' to the upper right. Well presented in a gilt frame with acanthus corner ornaments and a delicate beaded inner. On canvas laid to panel.

Condition

There are some light abrasions to the surface of the painting, however overall the artwork is in good condition. Some wear to the frame, including stable cracking and light scuffing. The frame has undergone previous restoration work, including a repair to the lower left ornament.
