A meticulously detailed coastal scene in which several boats navigate calm waters whilst riverside buildings with terracotta roofs nestle beneath verdant trees along the shore. Inscribed "Elis. Coleridge / Copied from an original of M Bouquet / in the possession of Mr Pease" to the reverse. Unsigned. Well presented in a gilt frame. On board.

Condition

The condition is very good for a picture of this age, with only some slight discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Light wear to the frame.
