Dutch School - Mid 19th Century Oil The Card Game

Description

A group of men gathers around a small table in a tavern interior, one leaning in over a game of cards before them while others look on from behind. Warm browns and ochres dominate, with a pale light falling across the seated figures and a stoneware jug placed on the floor, giving the scene an easy, companionable character. Presented in a gilt frame with elaborate pierced corner ornamentation. On panel.
