Description
A woman prepares a large batch of sausages in this charming nineteenth-century genre scene. The work possibly draws inspiration from a similar composition by David Teniers the Younger (1610-1690). The painting is well presented in an antique gilt frame featuring a lamb's tongue running pattern. Unsigned. On canvas laid to board.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including discolouration and craquelure. Slight warping to the frame, as well as general scuffs and wear.
