Description

An oval portrait of a soldier in profile. One of a pair, possibly of the same sitter. The kepi (cap) and epaulettes suggest the sitter to be a member of the French army during the First World War. Presented glazed in a beige mount with a gold inner edge and a gilt-effect reeded wooden frame. Signed to the lower-right edge. On wove.

Condition

There is some discolouration and light foxing, including to the mount. There are some scuffs and scratches to the frame.
