Smart, R.E (1879-1970) was an etcher and watercolourist of architectural subjects. He studied etching and engraving under Sir. Frank Short. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers and was elected A.R.E in 1905. He lived in London for many years and later at Lee-on-the-Solent in Hampshire. His work can be found at the National Maritime Museum.Size
