Artist Biography
Theodorus Johannes 'Dorus' Arts (1901-1961) was born in Bergharen in the Netherlands. He is considered a late follower of the Hague school, both in terms of his impressionistic style and choice of subject matter. Arts became a member of the Nijmegen Society of Visual Artists. Through this circle, he met other painters and exhibited in the Waag building. He later emigrated to Canada.
