Artist Biography
Dorothy S. Hallett (act,1913-1930) lived in Cromwell Avenue, Highgate in London and is listed as an animal painter of dogs and cats, miniaturist and illustrator. Some of her paintings are reproduced in Hutchinson's 'Popular Illustrated Dog Encyclopaedia' She studied at the Academie Grande Chaumiere in Paris and exhibited work at a number of galleries, including five times at the Royal Academy, 3 times at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and 61 times at Walker's Gallery in London.
