Painter in oil, watercolour and gouache. Morton attended Art Teachers’ Training College in Clapham and studied with Archibald Standish Hartrick and Dora Billington at the Central School of Arts & Crafts before and during World War II. Morton taught for 10 years, then in the late 1960's returned to her art studies with Cedric Morris and Lett Haines at Benton End, Suffolk. She joined the Cambridge Drawing Society, Colchester Art Society, Sudbury Art Society and Gainsborough House Print Workshop. Her group shows included venues such as the Minories, Colchester. Her one-person shows included a retrospective exhibition at Bury St. Edmunds Art Gallery in 1983. Her work is represented in the collection of The Leys School, Cambridge.
