An impressive late 20th century oil depicting an expansive landscape, completed in rich colours and areas of thick impasto. The artist Donald Jennings, has captured an atmospheric scene with his expressive marks and textured style. Well presented in a modern gilt effect frame with rope detail. Artists' card is attached to the reverse. Signed and dated. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The condition is generally very good. There are areas of surface dirt and an area of paint cracking to the upper right. The frame has suffered minor knocks, there are minor losses to the paint work, visible to the lower right corner. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
