Artist Biography
David Woodford was born in 1938. He studied Art & Design at Sussex College of Art, and eventually taught Art at Leeds College of Art. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1967-68 as well as the Royal Cambrian Academy, The Mall Galleries, The Maas Gallery, National Museum of Wales, and Liverpool Academy. David Woodford is now regarded as one of Britain’s finest landscape painters with over 8000 of his original works in private collections. He works in all mediums, however, he has gained greatest acclaim for powerful oil landscapes and exceptional pencil drawings.
