Born in 1942, David Mynett was a former farmer and was educated at Magdalen College Oxford. He was an avid painter who was inspired by the 'ever changing light on the landscape'. Mynett was the resident tutor at the Can Xenet School of Painting in Majorca, and his paintings hang in public and private collections in Europe and America, at with the Halcyon Gallery, Birmingham. Mynett's work has been sold at Christies and numerous other notable auction houses across the UK.
