A finely detailed etching of Exeter Cathedral by Daniel King for William Dugdale's Monasticon Anglicanum, which documents the history of monasteries, abbeys, hospitals, and cathedrals in England. A Latin inscription with a heraldic device in the upper left corner reads "In honour of God and the holy church, the most illustrious man John Stawell, knight of Bath, has erected this monument of piety." Signs of wear consistent with age including discolouration and foxing to the paper. Tears to the upper corners.
