Description

A charming little painting of William Beckford's (1760-1844) house on Landsdown Crescent in Bath. The house was the Bath residence of Beckford, a wealthy and eccentric novelist and art collector, from 1822-1844. Sheep graze in the foreground. Presented glazed in a white mount and wooden frame. Monogrammed and dated to the lower-right corner. On watercolour paper.
