A delightful genre scene by the artist D. Golding, depicting a mother and two children, before a large thatched building. Given by their dress, the figures look to date from the Edwardian period. The oil has been elegantly mounted in a large wood frame, brushed with gilt paint. Signed to the lower right. On canvas board.
Condition
There is a faint mark in the canvas, running horizontal above the mothers head. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.
