Cynthia Wall was an artist and teacher in oil, watercolour and pastel. Married to the artist William Birnie. She was born in London and studied at Glasgow School of Art, (1946–50).
Wall taught art in Dunbartonshire for six years before suspending teaching for 18 years to raise her family. She returned to teaching part-time in Renfrewshire, where she had settled in Kilbarchan.
Wall was elected a member of RSW in 1971 and showed at the RWS, RSA, Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and Paisley Art Institute. Most of her work was still life, with some landscape and figurative subjects.
