A delightful pastoral scene depicting a woman watching over a flock of sheep grazing by a pond. Signed 'C. Verschuur,' one of several pseudonyms used by Dutch painter Cornelius Wouter Bouter (1888-1966). Well presented in an ornate gilt-effect frame. On canvas on stretchers.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and surface dirt. Areas of overpainting. Some wear and paint loss around the edges of the canvas. Minor wear to the frame.
