Inspection under UV light reveals a small area of restoration to the trunk of the furthest-left tree. There are some slight marks to the frame. Overall in very good condition.

Clive Richard Browne (1901-1991) was a painter, mainly of landscapes in oil. He was born in Keelby, Lincolnshire, and attended St John's College, York. He studied at Grimsby School of Art and privately with Herbert Rollett. Browne was a member of North Lincolnshire Art Society and of Lincolnshire Artists' Society, and also exhibited at Royal Academy of Arts, Royal Cambrian Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Hibernian Academy, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers, Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool, and at the Paris Salon. The Usher Gallery, Lincoln, holds his work.
